| Flooring is relatively cheap, but it's the labor that you'll pay for. New bamboo plank flooring starts as low as $2/sq ft so for a few thousand dollars you can get a brand new refinishable floor. No one loves Pergo and for about the same price, bamboo is sustainable so you'll be feeling 'green' while you save some green vs traditional hardwood. Invest in a mitre saw and a floor nailer and compressor and you're still way ahead of the cost of a professional job. The floor is the first thing buyers notice so this upgrade will always be well received. |
